The closed geography of Laos, the many ethnic groups (47 different ones), the great number of children (40% of the population is under 15), the autarkical economy are as many factors that prompted us to develop programs of collective supports.

Because of the low rate of schooling (33%) due to the distance and lack of schools in the villages  of the ethnic minorities, the government builds dormitories so the pupils can spend the week in a village with a school.

In agreement with the local authorities, Enfants d’Asie supports 16 schools in the Oudomxay province and provides food, equipments for the classrooms, encouraging cultural activities and sport, and helping teachers too …

The projects are set up by the chiefs and the associations of the villages participating in the works and decisions while organizing a supervision system too
