Launch of the programEnfants d'Asie has been operating a humanitarian programme on the island of Cebu, in the center of the Philippines, since 1997. The programme was launched following the shooting of a film in Cebu, which featured Charlotte de Turckheim, and involved the participation of over a hundred young, extremely poor Filipino girls from the city's slums. On her return to France, Charlotte de Turckheim sought to rescue these children from the streets...She contacted Enfants d'Asie which immediately took action, setting up a children's education sponsorship programme.
