Volunteers

Through their involvement and motivation, more and more volunteers accompany the management of the sponsorships, as well as the development of our programmes.
Thanks to everyone of them for their presence and their daily commitment. Their professionalism and the quality of their work are a great help in the achievement of our vocation.

IN SOUTH-EAST ASIA

In Cambodia, the management , assisted by a Committee of Orientation, proposes the actions to be developed and maintains the relations with the directors of the centres, for the follow up of the sponsorships.
In the four countries of South-East Asia, the directors of the centres, the staff and the teachers are civil servants, sisters and Enfants d'Asie employees . French volunteers are also present in three countries: Marie-Laure Girbe in Cambodia, Caroline Biderman in Vietnam, and Charlotte Bourrat in the Philippines.
The local staff is in charge of the running of the centres and of the children, the French volunteers assist them. Some of them can sometimes teach their own languages and translate the letters from sponsors to children, and from children to sponsors. These various tasks are often carried out locally, in very difficult material conditions.
Specialized humanitarian organizations bring their support in various fields : Health, vocational training, culture, sport, ...
